Phoibos used the Eagle Ray collection to introduce new pastel shades to the brand’s iconic compressor-style dive watches. With refreshing pastel colorways mated to a newly designed dial, the new Eagle Ray automatic line (REF.PY048) offers one of the series’ most intriguing, vibrant looks.
The new collection features four different pastel shades, including green, blue, white and yellow, presented with embossed grainy texture. With high luminance (amount of light) and low saturation (intensity of color), all pastel colors provide a sense of soothing and relaxing to the watch. A sector dial looks visually compelling and legible with multiple concentric tracks but still remains the original dial layout. Ditching the Roman numerals cut into the outer ring in favor of a clean and simple railroad track, this dial layout creates a fun and functional style pairing with the bi-directional rotating inner bezel. Continuing the classic dual-crown design, the new iteration is crafted with precision and durability. Two crowns coordinate nicely with the nifty 41mm X 47mm stainless steel case. One at 2 o’clock controls the glossy bi-directional rotating inner bezel, and the other at 4 o’clock is responsible for winding and setting time. Coming with the caliber SII NH35A and 200-meter water resistance, this timepiece can meet everything you need for a diver watch. At the same time, the band with a three-fold clasp and push button release ensures it stays secure on your wrist. The iconic syringe hands, applied indices, and bezel markings are treated with 15 layers of Super-LumiNova BGW9 for a powerful glow in the dark.
